LAST LONGER

on

How can I Make My Perfume Last Longer on My Skin? You want your favourite perfume to last throughout the day and leave a trail of scent behind you wherever you go. Besides choosing fragrances with long-lasting notes, what else can you do?

Moisturise First. Applying perfume to moisturised skin helps it retain fragrance for longer. Using an oil-based moisturiser before you spray your favourite scent can make a big difference.

Apply Perfume on Your Pulse Points. Spraying perfume on your pulse points ensures a longer-lasting scent. Pulse points are warm areas on your body where blood is closest to the skin, such as your wrists, neck, inside your elbows and behind your knees. Their heat can help release your fragrance throughout the day.

Don't Rub Your Perfume In. Do you usually rub your wrists together after applying perfume? This is a common mistake. Rubbing your perfume in breaks down the chemicals in the fragrance more quickly, causing the scent to disappear faster than you’d like.

Consider the Concentration of Your Fragrance. Do you typically wear an eau de toilette or an eau de parfum? These two types of perfume have different concentrations, which will determine how long they last on your skin. Eau de parfums have stronger formulas than eau de toilettes, so although they may be more expensive, you’ll find that their scent can last a few more hours.

Apply Perfume on Your Hair Bruch. Can You spray perfume in your hair for a longer-lasting scent? As fragrance has a high alcohol content, it can be damaging to spray it directly into your locks, but you can spray your favourite perfume on your hairbrush before running it through your hair for an extra boost of fragrance.

Spray Your Clothes with Perfume. Your skin isn’t the only thing you can spray perfume on to smell amazing all day long. Next time you’re heading out, try spritzing it on your clothes, too — clothing fibres are great at holding scents for a long time.
